the best medicine

My son laughed today.

It would’ve been so easy to miss it. I could’ve been washing the dishes, taking a shower, folding laundry, or trying to catch up on my sleep. But I wasn’t doing any of those things, and I am so, so thankful.

My husband was playing with him, the baby guy laughed, and I was there for that very first time.

I’m pretty sure it doesn’t get much better than that.
